Concept BMW X5 eDrive (Gallery)

Press Release from Munich. The new BMW X5 raises efficiency to another new level in the world of the luxurious Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV). BMW is using the 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) to present the logical next step towards landmark efficiency in the SAV segment. The BMW Concept X5 eDrive combines the brand of driving pleasure for which the xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system is renowned and a luxurious ambience within the variable-use interior with a plug-in hybrid drive concept. Its innovative BMW eDrive technology guarantees the hallmark sporting ability of a BMW, while at the same time opening the door to speeds of up to 120 km/h (75 mph), a maximum range of 30 kilometres (19 miles) on electric power alone and average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle of 3.8 litres per 100 kilometres (74.3 mpg imp). BMW i3 Concept Coupe EV (Gallery)

Here is a huge gallery of pictures of the BMW i3 Concept Coupe EV which debuts this week at the LA Auto show. The CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) BMW i3 Concept Coupe EV plug in hybrid is a 3 door coupe style with a sportier back end version of the standard BMW i3 Concept shown earlier this year. The Concept Coupe EV is finished for the first time in Valencia Orange instead of the Whites and Silvers BMW i Concepts are accustomed to wearing. This concept looks much closer to the production BMW i3 with a more practical solid doors instead of the see through glass doors from the previous concepts, the coupe retains the 5 Door concept's 2570mm (101.2 inches) wheelbase, the coupe like body gives this car a much sportier, wide and low slung look. BMW Concept Active Tourer Officially Unveiled (HD Gallery)

In concept form this Front Wheel Drive hybrid electric (eDrive) BMW City Car is another step BMW is taking towards a premium sustainable mode of transportation. The Concept Active Tourer will debut at the Paris Autoshow in 2 weeks.
